I have an eastern but I realy don't care I am not going to breed them. I am currently building an outdoor pen for the one I have it will be about 6'x4'. In the winter they would be indoors. If I had to I could expand the outdoor enclosure.

not all box turtles have the same husbandry needs. I'd recommend another eastern or a 3-toed.

I think you should get another Eastern of the opposite sex. The population of Eastern boxies in the wild is dropping drastically. Even if you don't want to breed them, if they bred without any extra effort on your part, you could always find someone with an incubator.

I am starting to think that to. I just have to find one. They are very hard to find around here, and I don't want a baby because mine is almost three. If I could find a male that was around the same age or a little older that would be best. I also would like to give one a new home that was not or is not wanted. I am a sucker for adopting.

Too bad you don't want a sulcata! We have one that would love a new home.
This may take awhile but there are several tortoises and turtles that pop up on Craigslist from time to time.
Nate Swanson might know where to get one too. http://www.swaneesexotics.com/

How big is the Sulcata? Can it be shipped? How much are you asking? You can e-mail me at dban58@yahoo.com, put sulcata in the subject line.
