Yay! I finally got my new 4 ft tall and 29 inch by 29 inch enclosure for my chameleon. I got some bark in the bottom and some gnarly looking madrona tree branches in there that i found in a park near my house (I dried them out in the furnace room for several months and wiped them in bleach water first). He seems to be very happy to finally have somewhere to run and hide when I reach in there to clean it out. I should be able to post some pictures in a bit, but probably not until later as I have to work all weekend.

I got mine at LLL Reptile supply, and its a pvc tube frame with mesh wrapped around it. So far the little guy loves it, and I am just loving being able to see him in a more realistic enclosure. I have been going through some personal stuff right now, and I am turning 21 on the 15th, so I have been a little too busy to post any pics yet, but hopefully I will be able to do that soon.

I finally got to taking and posting some pics of the cage, sorry it took so long. I only took a few, but they should give a decent idea of what it looks like. The little guy wasnt too happy about me leaning into his space to get a good picture of him, so I decided I wouldnt push it too far.

It looks great. Do you mind if I make a suggestion? Start introducing live plants- it will increase humidity and make the enclosure nicer. Artificial plants collect so much dust that after awhile they are kind of icky. You can start with 1 Pothos plant (Not smaller than a 6-inch one) on the ground and train the stems upward. Add more plants as you go. Don't take the artificial plants out until you have enough real plants. They'll grow really well in such a light-filled window.
Those mesh cages are perfect for chameleons. They allow really good air circulation, which seems to be really important for chameleons.

Nice setup however I also keep chameleons and the live plants really do help with humidity when you mist and water the plants. Put a nice small ficus tree around 3 ft tall in the middle of the cage with some vines around it for climbing. You can usually get a ficus (ficus benjamina) at Lowes, Home Depot, Fred Meyer etc.... for $10-$20.

Im sorry I didnt take better pictures, there actually is a ficus in the bottom left of the enclosure, and I just got two pothos plants that I am going to put in there today. If there are any other suggestions, they are most definitly welcome. I still dont know what Im going to line the bottom with, its just bare plastic right now. I was thinking I would just use newspaper because its cheap and plentiful and easy to clean out, where loose substrates are a pain to get out of there. I got the bark out of the bottom because I was worried about him eating a piece and getting impacted.

They also make a "pond" type bottom for those cages. Perhaps a pond...
