As some of you know, Frasier the Tokay gecko has come back to live with me. He has porked out and has now been constantly screaming for a pretty girlfriend! (which is hilarious for those unfortunate few who have never hearda male Tokay call!)

is the glorious noise I've heard three times in less than 24 hours, LMAO.

So what is this post about?
Well, finding him a healthy female Tokay gecko to bond with, of course!
If anyone has a healthy chunky female that they feel needs a healthy strong beautiful male to be with, let me know! I am looking for LTC, quarantined and clean, let me know what you have. Depending on the situation and how well I know you, I may be willing to let Frasier go to the right home, however, I do prefer he remains with me for the time being. He's been shuffled around quite a bit and I do want him to settle in and feel safe. Keep in mind I am in no rush here, I'm just checking out what might be out there and available for him. I am wiling to wait for the right girl for my big loud boy.

Now has a CB female to look forward to once her quarantine period is finished. WOOT!

Saille, do you have to worry about whether they'll be pals? it seems that people just sort of dump them together, but they mate for life, right? how likely is it for a pair to freak out and not like each other?

oh, and, congrats!!

It depends on the gex, Aimee, She will stay in quarantine for at least 2 months, after which their cages will then be within site of each other. They will be aware of each other just because of vicinity.
When I put geckos together, I do it on completely "neutral territory" i.e. completely cleaned and disinfected cage with new furniture and stuff, so they can "find each other" on new ground and not be territorial.
I then keep an eye on them and see how they respond to each other.
I was very lucky with Niles and Lillith, he was very tender and gentle with how he approached her and they pair bonded immediately.
Frasier is a bit more aggressive and is very obviously looking for a mate, so I'll have to keep an eye on her to make sure he's not "over-zealous" with her.
In general with Tokays, its best to do pairs and not a harem as they are typically monogamous.

thanks, Saille. I introduced a pair of birds once in much the same way, but I stretched it out over about a year.
