I have given up hope of ever doing a planted geckos tank for the foreseeable future, so I have decided to part with my African Giant Millipedes.
These are juveniles, (no where near full grown yet) I got them as teeny tiny babies back last October, so these were hatched sometime late summer/early autumn of 2008.
These are CBB, no mites apparent on either of them, living in SuperSoil and organic Peat mix, with sphagnum moss and some oak leaves. I feed them cucumbers and organic baby carrots and greens.
Asking $10 bucks each, (what I paid for them) or $15 for both. (OBO) I prefer someone with invert/Millipede experience, these could be good new blood breeding stock for a captive bred project.
Apparently there is a hold on importing these to the US. currently, so these 'pedes are getting hard to come by. Pics to come soon. . .

I'd be interested in these for one of my vivs, but have zero bug experience. I'm definitely willing to learn, if you're willing to teach. :)

The kids were just saying how cool these are! Let me know if they are still available. :) They'd be awesome in that 15 gallon I just got.

If possible, I would like them both as I am attempting to compile a s many as possible to get some good reproductive results out of them and hultimately have more to supply the trade. I also often use them in educational programs and it helps to keep more than one on hand. I mean absolutely no offense to anyone but with as difficult as they are to obtain now, it would be a waste to see any of them end up as pets instead of a breeding colony of multiple specimens at least...a bit of a bad analogy but that's like keeping a white rhino as a pet.
I guess this would also be a good time to let you guys know, I am always looking for these guys if anyone knows of any other party that may wish to part with any.
Thanks!

Yasser

Yasser, I will give mine up to you for the sake of breeding...if you can promise me a baby or 2 in the future. :) What's their breeding age/cycle, anyways?

Send me a PM if you're interested! Sheesh, I should have put these up for bid! :)

Sorry! I don't do PMs.
You can reach me at yasser at spitfirereptiles dot com

I want them for sure, no doubt. No questions asked.
Anyone else got these Millis they'd want to part with for my project?

I used to have a colong numbering in the 100s and they bred well for me...now I just gotta get enough of them to make sure I have good success again.
Thanks!

Sorry Yasser,
I had lots of people respond ahead of you. . . I am confident that these went to an excellent home and that they very likely will get bred. :)
