I have two babies and two adults for adoption, if anyone is interested. Turned out one of our "males" ended up being a female. Since we only want to keep one pair of males, we have two unsexed babies and a male/female pair for adoption. $20/pair :)

What's the usual lifespan?

You're looking at 5 years on average for a healthy spiny, sometimes longer. I had a pair of spinys which were 7 years old before they started showing their age. :)
