Hey everyone. I have a young unsexed Savannah Monitor who needs a home. He was given to me by a friend earlier this year as a *surprise*. I wasn't so sure I wanted him as I have no experience with monitors. I tried for awhile, but he is just not for me. I have not had the time to handle him so he is somewhat feral, but he will definitely calm with handling. He is still pretty small, only about 12 inches head to tip of tail. This little one has an amazingly healthy appetite! Per Shari's suggestion he gets a diet of mostly f/t rat pinks. Occasionally I treat him with chopped chicken hearts/gizzards and a few crickets. He is free to good home by himself or $150 for the set up (don’t really want to part with it, but will). Set up includes a 29 gallon with sliding screen lid, 150 watt ceramic heater, UVA/UVB light, and two lamps for said lights. Also includes a water dish, driftwood, and towel for bedding. Anyone interested?
