After spending years with keeping native water turtles and a fleet of Boxies as a kid growing up on a lake in New Orleans, I finally settled down and tried my hand at breeding turtles in the PacNW! I am very proud to say I hatched my very first turtle!
It's a teeny Loggerhead Musk turtle.
It's two days old pictured here....

It ate for the first time yesterday...an earthworm.
I have a colony of 6 adults and two hypo subadults. This new "Peanut" has put me on cloud 9! Satisfaction can be found in so many ways!
